SAVING THE SURVIVORS

What they fight for

Founded in 2012 by Dr Johan Marais, Saving the Survivors attend to the needs of any injured animal, however most of their work is dedicated to protection of the rhino due to the vicious attacks that many of them fall victim to.

Due to an escalation in poaching incidents, the number of cases is rapidly increasing. However, many victims of poaching have been given a second chance after undergoing various interventions and surgical procedures performed by the expert team at Saving the Survivors. Most of these animals are treated in their natural habitat to reduce the risk and trauma associated with transporting injured wildlife.

How we help

As well as their work in the field Saving the Survivors carry out hugely important research in to the inner workings of rhino and other endangered species, to allow them to treat these animals effectively and create ‘hope from hurt.’

Salvari is proud to offer 10% of its profits from the sale of the Rhino Horn, Salvari Logo, and Kudu Horn pendants directly to Saving the Survivors and their veterinary team, and together we hope to make the world a better, kinder and safer place for all living things.
